Minimal graphics card and processor activity (Battlefield V)
Minimal graphics card and processor activity (Battlefield V)
My hardware setup includes a GTX 1080 Gaming, an AMD Ryzen 2700X running at 4 GHz, a Gigabyte X470 motherboard, a 1000-watt Corsair PSU, 16 GB of 3000 MHz RAM, and some storage devices. When playing Battlefield V at 4K with maximum settings, my graphics card and central processing unit usage are consistently very low—around 25% each—resulting in approximately 40 frames per second. I’ve ensured all my drivers are current and the system is fully updated, but this issue persists despite being told it’s simply an optimization problem. If you require additional details, I can provide screenshots. Thank you.
The motherboard is now fully current, having just received a fresh installation with its latest updates. The BIOS and drivers have also been upgraded prior to installing the driver; however, previously I was experiencing performance issues with only 70% of my graphics card being utilized and 25% of my processor capacity. I intend to monitor temperatures over the next four hours and provide you with an update.
Thank you for your response.
P.S. I resolved the problem by slightly adjusting the overclock and reinstalling the driver. Interestingly, Task Manager still indicates a 15% usage rate, although I don't believe it significantly impacts performance at this point.
New operating system installation performed? BIOS version current? Windows software updated? Drivers up-to-date? Processor and graphics card temperatures while playing a game?
My computer has been completely refreshed with a new installation, including the BIOS and drivers. Before updating the driver, I was experiencing performance issues with only 70% GPU usage and 25% CPU utilization – that was quite unusual. I plan to monitor the temperatures over the next four hours and provide further updates.
Thank you for your response.
P.S. I resolved the problem by slightly overclocking and reinstalling the driver. However, it’s peculiar that Task Manager still indicates 15% usage, though I don't believe it significantly impacts performance.
