Your GPU usage stays low even with high CPU load, which suggests the issue isn’t your GPU. With a 3060 Ti and 9700K, you’re likely running into CPU bottlenecks or thermal throttling. Upgrading the CPU might help improve overall performance and reduce FPS drops. Consider checking your cooling setup and CPU cooler compatibility.

It's definitely a CPU limitation. Adding another RAM stick could improve performance a bit.

Undoubtedly a CPU limitation exists because the 9700K lacks Hyperthreading—only the 9900K/KS models support it. Adding a second RAM module will certainly improve performance as well.

You're playing the same CPU (9700F) but using a more affordable GPU.

Yes, there are excellent CPUs that perform well with the 3060 Ti. Look for high-performance options like the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X or Intel i5-13600K for optimal results.

You're looking to upgrade your system with an i7 9700K and a 3060 Ti. The bottleneck is currently on the CPU, so you'll want to choose a CPU that matches or exceeds your current performance. The 5600X and 5700X are both capable options, but the 5700X offers better performance for future upgrades. Consider a mid-range to high-end CPU like an i7-9700K or i7-9700X, paired with a suitable motherboard that supports those chipsets.

The 5700x would likely handle a 0 bottle neck well and offer future-proof capabilities.

Yes, it will work. It includes eight cores for better performance. What is your budget?
