I only achieve around 90-120 FPS in Warzone at half the render resolution, with minimal CPU (35-50%) and GPU (40-50%) usage. At full resolution (1440p), even with modest settings, I maintain similar performance, as if lowering my render scale to 50% and all other parameters to minimum. My GPU load rises significantly (85-95%) when using full resolution and higher settings, but I never drop below 120 FPS, which is frustrating since I’m running at 1440p165. Is my 3700X truly limited in this regard? Could it be a thermal or power constraint? CPU temperature around 51°C and GPU around 60°C don’t seem like issues. Unlimited in-game FPS with caps.

in RTSS.
Specs: CPU 3700X (stock), Graphics card: ASUS 2080 SUPER (OC), RAM: G.Skill TridentZ Neo 2x16 GB 3600 MHz (DOCP)
TL;DR: 90-120 FPS at 720p and 1440p with a 2080 SUPER OC'ed and stock 3700X.

I encountered some issues with RTSS for Warzone, so I manually closed both MSI afterburner and RTSS before launching the game. This approach worked much better. My problems were mostly random 'dev error' closures near the desktop, which might also be useful.

I don’t usually suggest installing NVIDIA GeForce Experience, but perhaps disabling the two MSI software could help. Also, turning on the FPS counter for NVIDIA GE and checking if it improves frame rates can give you a clearer idea. If you notice better results, it’s likely due to the MSI software.

As always, I don’t recommend installing NVIDIA GE, but for testing purposes, I’ll use it occasionally on certain games and then remove it afterward.

Hope this helps, mate!

Also, how do your other games perform? Did you expect the FPS? If not, think about installing the latest NVIDIA driver from its site. Then use ddu in safe mode without an internet connection to clear old GPU drivers. After that, install the new driver and check if it improves things.
