Minimal CPU activity during fullscreen play yet maximum demand in windowed settings in Battlefield 5
I downloaded bf5 recently and encountered input lag problems in full screen. I adjusted the settings, tried windowed mode, and noticed a significant boost in FPS—around 45+—which was unexpected since it usually doesn’t affect other games. I also observed my CPU usage spiked in windowed mode. Despite higher FPS, I still felt a noticeable input delay. In full screen I experienced some lag but around 40-50 FPS less than expected. This seems to point to a bottleneck. I’m considering upgrading my GPU eventually when funds allow. Current specs: GTX 1050 Ti, i7-7700K (4.2GHz), overclocked to 4.8GHz, 16GB DDR4 at 3200MHz RAM. Screenshots attached for reference.
It seems like you're suggesting the image quality might be reduced when using a windowed view.
I realized the same thing, but why does my CPU use drop to 60-80% when I’m in full screen and jump up to 80-100% when using a windowed view? It seems like the opposite should happen.
