I think I found the solution! When my PC was brand new I had high frame rates, but now I’m seeing 12-13 frames. I went back to an older 2017 driver and everything improved. Also, since I have an NVIDIA GTX 1050Ti, I’m not sure how AMD cards would perform.

4K will reduce your frame rate by half when compared to 1080p.

4K performance will drop significantly, particularly with shaders and texture packs in place. Are you still using Optifine and adjusting settings accordingly? Also, what render distance has Minecraft been configured to?
