Minecraft shaders experiencing slow performance on low FPS, optimized for 1080p resolution.
Hello! I’m facing an issue with Minecraft at 60fps in 4K using “Seus Renewed” shaders (default settings). I’m testing it in a modpack called Sevtech. My concern is the frame rate I’m seeing compared to another player who uses the same shader pack and modpack but records at 1080p while I run at 4K. My system specs: i7-8700k @4.7GHz (default), 16GB RAM, Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB, GTX 1080 Ti, Intel Core i7-4820K, 1866 Adata XPG V2, NVMe 2TB drive, Windows 10 Pro 64bit. The YouTuber’s setup: i7-4820K @4.9GHz, 16GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, GTX 1060, 8GB SSD, playing at 1080p and recording. The shader pack link is https://sonicether.com/download/seus-renewed-v1-0-0/, modpack is https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/sevtech-ages. Channel: ChosenArchitect on YouTube. He’s using his phone on a 1080Ti, but it’s really draining the card—often around 60 to 30 seconds and up to 4K will put a lot of stress on it.
It's active, but the performance remains around 40fps even with unlimited frames and at 1080p resolution.
You’ve discovered your software is running in 32-bit mode despite being installed, and you’re seeking a solution to prevent this. Also, you want guidance on upgrading to 64-bit if needed.
The launcher remains consistently 32-bit. What matters is whether the Java client appears as 32-bit or 64-bit during launch. If it shows 64-bit, it’s likely a larger application. Generally, most programs run fine in 32-bit unless they require over 2GB of memory.
