Minecraft RTX With Overclocking
Minecraft RTX With Overclocking
I experimented with Minecraft using an RTX graphics card, but it ran smoothly until I began clocking with MSI Afterburner. It would crash during those sessions. Could you share more details about the issue? I have an RTX 2080 Super.
Avoid pushing speeds too high. Certain cards (particularly premium custom ones) may reach their limits naturally.
Overclocks can cause issues. You're limited in how much you can boost the clocks before problems arise. Increasing voltage might help stabilize things somewhat, but there are boundaries. Not every chip supports the same overclocking potential (think of it as a "silicon lottery"), so details matter. Please share more specifics about your setup and the exact model you're using for a better answer.
I modified the Core Clock by 188 and Memory Clock by 374. I also changed the GPU fan curve settings. The exact model is GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2080 Gaming OC 8GB Graphic Cards GV-N2080GAMING OC-8GC.
What additional voltage did you supply? 188 isn't a small amount for the core.
It usually improves performance when under stress. Raising voltage can help steady an OC, but adding more voltage increases power consumption, and most systems have a built-in power cap that can only be bypassed with a custom BIOS.
