I used to try the RTX beta and enjoyed it, but I found it difficult to switch to online mode since it seemed restricted. I removed it from my setup. Am I missing something? Is online mode disabled in the beta unless you’re playing with others in that phase? Why isn’t there backward compatibility so the beta could run in non-beta mode for multiplayer? It seems like the beta shouldn’t have to choose between RTX and multiplayer, yet it feels like a limitation. I’m curious why Minecraft RTX isn’t ready for full release yet—no updates or news seem to exist about it.
they haven’t uploaded it to the online platform yet. or perhaps the server hasn’t been updated to include it (hypixel is on an older version than 1.10, as you mentioned). That’s why it doesn’t function properly. I’m just wondering how you managed to get the RTX working—it’s been really hard to figure out.
I joined the beta using this Xbox insider hub app in the Windows store a few months ago, but I don’t remember much about it. I’m not concerned about getting RXT online—it’s still in beta and I understand it won’t be fully functional yet. I just want to play Minecraft normally while in beta and also enjoy playing online without RXT. It looks like in beta you can’t connect with friends or go online unless they’re also in beta, which is confusing. Why isn’t the beta backwards compatible with the latest non-beta versions? I’d like to stay in beta so I can play with friends and experience the beta features. Why do I have to constantly rejoin every time I want ray tracing, while I just want to play normally?
