Hey, your brother needs to run Minecraft on your laptop, but the performance isn't great because it's not using a dedicated GPU. You've already checked the Nvidia Control Panel and haven't found a solution. Want some other ideas?

Click right-click and choose "Run with Graphics Processor" to select high performance NVIDIA graphics. This method consistently helped me.

Access your bios options and in the display section, you should see a subject labeled "well..." followed by "Display." Choose the GPU that doesn’t mention Integrated Graphics, or look for a setting on your laptop where it toggles between the two under stress. This applies specifically to my Lenovo T530.

Ensure javaw.exe executes on the dedicated GPU. It should be found at program files\java\jre#\bin for 32-bit and program files(x86)\java\jre#\bin for 64-bit versions. The specific Java version you're using is irrelevant.

In fact, this applies mainly to earlier versions. Probably now the game includes an installer that sets it up for "C:\Program Files (x86)\Minecraft." For optimal performance with Nvidia, you should add the specific path to run as a high-performance executable.
