Hi everyone, a few months back I assembled a new PC and it's been working well with many games. Now I've installed Minecraft and it's not performing as expected (90-100fps). The system specs are: Ryzen 5 3600, RX 5700XT, 16GB RAM. The game also flickers when I'm in the menus or moving the mouse. How can I fix this and boost performance? Is it just the game not optimized enough for AMD? Thanks for your help.

By default, Minecraft doesn't rely on a dedicated GPU; it attempts to utilize the CPU for graphics and gameplay. It also limits rendering to a single core (though not necessarily for performance reasons). A few precise Java command lines can adjust this behavior, but they require careful testing and adjustments. The simplest solution is to install the optifine mod (search "minecraft optifine" online) – it's the most straightforward method to enable proper GPU usage.
