The latest Minecraft Bedrock update 1.20.30 has triggered audio problems on my entire PC. With a dual-monitor setup—Minecraft on one screen and Hulu on the other—I can listen to both, but now only the game’s sound plays. Even when I switch Minecraft to windowed mode, everything remains unchanged. I’ve checked all my audio settings, and they match what they were before the update. Please assist me!

Your gpu or sound solution might need a driver update, this sounds(hehe) like a software issue. I would wait for another patch, or attempt to try a different form of audio.

Ive already went through and updated my drivers and bios. So im just assuming its probably the recent update because I couldn't find any reason for my audio to not work. I forgot to mention also I cant even have discord open and talk to people because I get no audio feedback. They can hear me but I cant hear them

Experiencing comparable problems - whenever I start Minecraft, sound vanishes entirely. Have faced challenges with Bedrock version for some time: unable to stay in worlds longer than 20 minutes before crashes occur. Initially it was slower to crash, eventually progressing to a BSOD and still unresolved. This issue began a few months ago and has persisted despite updating graphics and audio drivers. Now the PC is unresponsive until I restart after opening Minecraft, and no sound remains on the system.

You're experiencing the same problem since the last Minecraft update. The sound stops instantly after starting the game, even though the volume remains selected. It only works again when you toggle "Realtek USB Audio." Minecraft is the only game affected by this issue. After adjusting the sound settings in Settings, it should function properly. The event log shows a note about improved visuals in Minecraft. Let me know if you need more help!

I discovered the problem was related to my laptop's speaker driver in Minecraft. I experimented by connecting an external speaker via Bluetooth and setting it as the default audio source. It functioned perfectly, even after the game started. Turning off the Bluetooth speaker later still maintained performance. This issue seems tied to initial startup conflicts with audio drivers on certain systems. If anyone is interested, this method might be a viable workaround while a permanent fix is found.
