Hello! I'm using the latest version of Minecraft. Regarding performance, a less powerful CPU can still run smoothly, but it may affect frame rates. Your RAM and GPU will also play a big role in how well the game runs. Let me know your specs if you'd like more details!

Minecraft requires a lot more power from your graphics card than commonly believed. What are your GPU details?

We are playing Minecraft 1.15.2. Both of us installed Java yesterday. His CPU has a slower clock speed. Perhaps I should have picked different words... I use a Kingston HyperX PC3-10700 2x8gb in DualChannel. As far as I understand, my friend is using something comparable. I use a Sapphire Nitri+ RX 580 while he uses his old GTX 1050.

I run on an RX 580 with 8 GB GDDR5 memory from Sapphire Nitro+, slightly overclocked. My current setup uses a GTX 1050, which is my previous graphics card.

Are you certain your RAM operates in Dual Channel Mode? I requested the "slower CPU" since Java tends to run on fewer cores, and higher clock speeds can help in this specific scenario. Which motherboard are you using? The PCIe lanes might be limiting performance for both GPU and CPU.

I'm not convinced. I'm running an ASRock H97M Pro4 and cpuz verified dual channel mode.

Are your systems using separate hard drives for the game? Otherwise, it might be worth verifying your BIOS settings and chipset driver configurations.
