Your system specs are decent but may struggle under heavy load. Running Shadow of Mordor at low settings doesn’t eliminate lag, especially when objectives appear or other events trigger. I searched online and spoke to friends, but no one reported the same issue. Consider checking your graphics drivers, updating them, or testing with a lighter game to isolate the problem.

The issue might lie with your hard drive. It seems your HDD is slow, which could be the cause. Also, check how much VRAM the game is utilizing.

I actually possess a 240GB SSD, which makes me question if that's the issue. I verified it, but the game never reaches close to the full 2GB of VRAM.

Have you checked for any issues with your drivers? Looks like there might be some hardware problems or installation errors. (Just routine inspections) Actually, I'm performing well on the lowest settings with an average of 30 FPS using my laptop's Intel HD4000/8750M. The game claims it's using the HD4000, but I'm seeing it use the HD4000 as well.

You have 3GB of VRAM available. The textures are set to high quality, and the system is using approximately 2.7GB under Afterburner with High texture settings.

I'm facing the same issue but I'm using GeForce Experience for auto-setting my games, yet they keep lagging and freezing.
