A proof of our progress. I quickly went through the video and questioned why the view looked off. It wasn’t until the end that I noticed it wasn’t a simulation. You’re also focusing heavily on DLC, but I haven’t purchased anything for FS2020. The game already covers every airport globally, and the base version likely includes planes like 747, A320, Cessna. You can check what’s available in each release here. They’ve been regularly providing free updates with improved scenery and new features such as VR. As Middcore mentioned, it might have fewer mods compared to X yet, but it’s only been out for two years. This platform will keep getting better over the next ten years.

I realized it might be a Boeing model (they were around 30) possibly from an outside source. I searched for a Concorde but only found a 32-bit version or nothing at all—no price info, no download link… haha. That’s why I thought something similar would fit. Still, 30 feels high. Also, the bundle I saw was for 33, not 23, now it costs €77… Ugh. I’m annoyed they didn’t mention a limited time. This is why I haven’t bought a Steam game in a while… Steam sales always clash with my plans and end up wasting money. Lol.

… I purchased it… probably not great, but quite puzzling – mainly about how to operate it. It feels really dated, almost like a retro experience… so far I’ve only tried free flight, and the default options are all set for beginners. The controls still leave me scratching my head… I have no clue where everything is. I appreciate the visuals, though; they could be improved, but it matches what I expected from a game from 2006. The biggest issue is missing a Concorde, but I did notice the afterburner reheat controls, so the plane must exist somewhere… haha. Mostly I like the quirks, but I’ll need a solid tutorial and hope DLC discounts return soon. P.S.: Airliners seem simpler, while small planes are super tricky. But yeah, I’ll have to tackle the missions – not sure where to fly, what altitude or speed to use… I got a bunch of speed warnings, thinking I’d go as fast as possible, but it didn’t work out that way!

It's not even close. Just look at your house from the plane—it’s visible. With X, it looks like a flat shape. It’s a simulation; you either want to play or skip it. If you prefer, maybe a flight SIM isn’t your style. I don’t like costly games, but I get why MSFS20 has so much detail and realism. That’s why I understand the cost. But if you’re curious about trying something new, why haven’t you gotten an Xbox game pass for PC? Flight sim does come with that.

lol, i already said i want to do "airliner stuff" and that surely doesnt include flying to your house. : p also you just dont see much anyways most of the time during flight… sky and clouds mostly… im really not very interested in the bling (ie graphics) no interest. this is about MS Flight Simulator X … X-Plane 11 might have been an alternative… In all seriousness im really happy FSX only takes up like 15GB - this will likely go up with mods, but then I still get to choose, and i can choose where stuff gets stored etc. Actually its great, but I agree with the reviews , its not worth 25 bucks at all, more like 10… but thats just how it is and i missed the sale… ps: Im still stuck on that lol… i wouldnt even know how to find an airport … i suppose doing the missions will actually help with this (hopefully) Oh and why does the 737 always try to make nose dives, while the 320 doesnt do that at all, it just flys in a straight line, no problem??? I thought these two planes would handle very similar but apparently not… Eh, so missions are the thing to do… its kinda fun and kinda "gamey" and i feel its the only way to learn the controls… But it seems a lot of things dont work, for example compass, auto pilot , hold altitude, etc, Im pressing the buttons but nothing happens?! Maybe it doesnt work in free flight (without a flight plan… ) that could actually be.
