Hey!
I'm reaching out for advice from a friend who's not very familiar with PCs:
He just bought the latest Microsoft Flight Simulator on Steam.
During the installation of the launcher onto his HDD in Steam, a disk write error happened.
Once the download finished, the next issue arose with the app itself:
After the "Checking for Updates" screen, a blue loading bar appears and remains stuck at the same position. (See screenshot)

I've tried several things so far using Teamviewer:
- Restart the PC
- Update drivers
- Reinstall the game
- Clear Steam download cache
- Install it on a different drive (SSD)
After these steps, the disk write error seems resolved:
- Reinstall the entire Steam library as well as Steam itself
Taskmanager shows that the Flight sim is "Not responding".
Also, pressing ALT + F4 doesn't help.
At this point, my PC skills are running low and I'm open to anyone's assistance.
Thanks in advance.

He returned the game and received his money back. He plans to purchase it from the Microsoft store and attempt installation from there.
