A few months ago I moved my Minecraft Java edition license to my Microsoft account, and what do you think they lost? I had my account set up between 2017 and 2018 (I don’t remember the exact dates) and enjoyed playing. Today I’m trying to play and it’s launching the Demo. This is really frustrating because I was trying to pass time in an offline area when this happens. Great job, Microsoft. You’ve definitely made it clear not to buy game passes even for games you want to play.
It might be due to a lack of internet connection. Minecraft can behave oddly when offline. I experienced this during a trip with poor signal, and my login failed despite knowing the right password. Once I regained a stable connection, I was able to play again. It doesn't always happen, but it can occur sometimes.
