Microsoft asks customers to switch to Windows 11
I powered on my computer and after logging in, I saw a full-screen ad urging an update to Windows 11. I don’t understand why they’re pushing everyone to install it. If I really wanted to, I’ve already done so. I’ve repeated saying no about thirty times in the taskbar icon.
You received the same message before and declined politely. You intend to remain on Windows 10 unless there’s a strong justification for switching.
They aim for everyone to upgrade, ensuring a unified codebase and eliminating the need to manage outdated GPU drivers. With DirectStorage enabled, performance is expected to improve on 11. It’s puzzling why anyone would prefer staying with an operating system that won’t receive updates in the near future.
Everyone I've met faces issues with Windows 11. I'm considering switching to a more reliable operating system, but I only have until October 2025 to decide.
Very few noticed the issue, so I guessed that if I don’t want an upgrade, I should take the opposite route.
