I recently purchased an antlion modmic wireless, but I’m facing challenges since it lacks built-in audio monitoring and the Windows options are slow and have high latency. My current headphones are HyperX Cloud Alpha, which are somewhat noise-canceling, making it hard to hear myself when speaking. I’m looking for ways to get better feedback from my microphone to my headset. I’m open to buying a new headset, using a preamp, or trying software solutions. A possible solution could be open-back headphones. What do you think?

Based on what you said, it seems the device connects via Bluetooth, meaning there’s no physical port to add. You’ll need to depend on software-based playback instead.

Be aware that using Discord can interfere with your microphone equipment and limit voice options. Turn off all related features in the client settings for a smoother experience, even with high-quality mics.

Yes, it remains wireless while supporting a USB dongle for compatibility.

The USB doggle functions as a Bluetooth dongle; you'd need a wireless microphone with a 3.5mm, quarter-inch, or XLR output for low-latency playback.

Adjust the Voice Processing options in the Voice & Video section of Discord settings. Disable all except Advanced Voice Activity.

Your views on Discord noise suppression seem practical. Sensitivity settings appear to be a personal choice—whether you want to adjust them manually or rely on auto-settings.

Honestly, most of their features aren't needed when you're using a headset mic. Because it's positioned close to your mouth, it's hard to accidentally disrupt the flow. All Discord's adjustments tend to interfere more than they help. You can try it yourself—switch off each setting one by one, listen above the settings menu, and then turn them back on. It feels like Discord automatically limits your mic volume with a strict gate, cutting a big chunk of gain or sound. I've checked this with top-tier mics and none of those tweaks made a difference. Regarding input sensitivity, it's a tunable setting that tells Discord how much noise it should record. If it drops below a certain level, your voice disappears. It's set to auto by default, but using push-to-talk would be better—it ensures your voice reaches the other side without skips caused by sensitivity issues. You also get rid of extra background sounds with push-to-talk, making communication clearer. I just enabled it on my mouse-side button for simplicity.
