Hello, I'm attempting to transfer audio from my monitor to my PC. My plan is to connect a 3,5mm cable through the monitor's 3,5mm port for headphones, and then use the PC microphone jack. This setup gives me audio from the monitor. However, I'm experiencing persistent buzzing noise that's quite loud. I suspect the problem might be related to grounding. When I used a different controller, the buzzing stopped, and with headphones, it disappeared. I also tried using headphones directly on the monitor without any issues. What should I do?

It seems you're forming a loop by linking the monitor to the PC. Could you clarify where the monitor is located? Is it already connected to the PC, or is it separate and not linked to the system? If it's already connected, connecting it again could damage the device. If it's not connected, using the PC's input connector would be more appropriate.

Thank you, when using my consoles I connect the monitor via a 3,5mm cable to my PC through that port. I didn't realize the blue 3,5mm connection was for audio. I'm not sure if changing it will solve the problem right now.

Well it didn't resolve the problem. I attempted to install Realtek Audio Manager, but the buzzing comes from the recording volume. The monitor seems to be the source. When I turn it off, the noise persists, but removing the power cable eliminates it. I think I'll need a new monitor, which I was already considering.

I still don't grasp what you're attempting to achieve, and it seems like you might be setting up a cycle that generates the buzzing sound. Could you clarify the monitor you're using, its location, what devices are connected to it, and how everything is linked? Understanding your setup better could help fix the issue.

My PC is linked to my monitor via an HDMI splitter. The splitter supports 5 in 1 connections. I have four consoles (PS2, PS3, PS5 and Xbox One X) connected to the splitter, and my PC is also connected through it. When playing on any console, audio goes from the console to the monitor. The monitor has two ports: one for audio input and another for headphones. I connect the 3.5mm headphone port of the monitor directly to my PC's audio input using a cable. For console playback, I use VoiceMeeter on my PC to stream the sound from the monitor's headphone port through my wireless earbuds. The goal is to transfer console audio to my PC and then listen via earbuds. I believe using an HDMI audio extractor will resolve the problem.

Based on your configuration, you're trying to send monitor sound output via Bluetooth to your earbuds. This setup seems to create a loopback issue. An external Bluetooth device could work better by connecting directly to the monitor's headphone output, which would link to the earbuds without involving the PC. The best but more expensive option would be a monitor that sends audio straight to your earbuds, though I have no idea what the cost would be.

I noticed these gadgets on Amazon and wondered if connecting one to the monitor's headphone port would work for your earbuds.

I have one but these are made to send sound, not receive. I recently got Samsung Odyssey G5 and it fixed the issue. I don't have any buzzing or static sound now.
