Re-E uses less memory controller power than Samsung B-die, making it a solid choice for Ryzen. Expect speeds around 3733–3800MHz, but a 3900X should still work well with B-die unless the memory controller is problematic—then alternative ICs might help.

Timing is better with B-die, but frequency works fine with Rev E. Given your max frequency limit of 3800 MHz, you should adjust the timing as much as needed.

Latency remains relevant even without gaming. If you're not focused on FPS, it still affects performance and responsiveness.

It improves general efficiency when the task is sensitive to latency. I don’t know your specific activity—if it requires bandwidth, aim for a 2:1 ratio and maintain timing. But it really varies by job.

The focus should be on the amount of RAM rather than RAM speed or latency. Since your software depends mainly on CPU performance, how crucial is low latency compared to high speed?

The rev-e and I managed to get them from Reddit users, plus I shared some threads there occasionally... Right now, my main thought is that B-dies offer superior raw performance, but they don't justify the 30 euro price difference for my current needs. Still, hell, optimizing RAM seems way more complex than tweaking the CPU overclocking settings.
