Hello everyone, I'm trying to solve a persistent issue that's been around for about six months. Despite everything running smoothly in both CS2 and Valorant when playing offline, I still experience minor stutters that make the games feel sluggish. When more players join the match, I notice noticeable lag. Others seem to play without issues, while mine feels less responsive. In CS2, smoothness drops in Deathmatch with fewer than five players, but becomes problematic with larger lobbies. Valorant also suffers under heavy traffic, especially when using certain utilities or weapons that trigger automatic firing. I've checked temperatures and confirmed the hardware stays cool, so it's not thermal issues. My PSU is 850W, and my setup includes a 3090 GPU, an ASUS RTX 7700 X 1TB SSD, and Corsair RM850e with Flare 5600 at 36°C. I'm hoping someone can help me identify the root cause.

Your 850W PSU should comfortably support your setup. Consider reviewing in-game settings and Nvidia control panel configurations. Resetting them might help. Look into Task Manager for unusual activity. You might want to increase process affinity in Task Manager. Ensure no system components are unnecessarily throttling and you’re not overloading memory, especially if multitasking heavily. One potential solution I’ve heard about is adjusting cached memory settings in Task Manager; restarting or adding RAMMap and clearing standby memory could also make a difference. I have a batch file ready for RAMMap whenever needed.

Adjust your network card options by turning off green Ethernet, energy-efficient Ethernet, and Gigabit Lite. Change the display resolution from 1080p to 1440p or 4K. Configure an in-game frame rate cap.

Thanks. I resolved the problem by turning off the power-saving settings on my Ethernet adapters. It worked perfectly. Appreciate the help!

You can also verify the Waveform speed test and assess bufferbloat on your connection. If issues are detected, use NetLimiter to cap speeds at 80-90% of your average measurements and recheck. Alternatively, configure SQM in your router if it supports those settings.

My router model 4 supports limiting traffic in square milliseconds, but I hadn't considered using the sqm option. I plan to set it to 90% speed.

It assisted by clarifying your question. What peripherals are you referring to?

I conducted additional testing. Although lag has decreased, it still returns after roughly 20 minutes of gameplay, though this is still a noticeable improvement. My setup includes a Logitech Gpro wireless Superlight and a Hyper X keyboard (the exact model isn’t clear). For my display, I’m using a 360Hz Zowie BenQ monitor. I limited my bandwidth on the edge router from 900Gbps down to 700Gbps.

Do you have the monitor driver set up? Have you attempted to turn off Multiplane Overlay MPO? Are you using the newest BIOS? Have you saved the latest AMD chipset drivers from AMD?

I've tested the first two options and got the same outcome. I'll look into a bios update there. What I've observed is that during all in-game battles with the enemy team, my game latency can jump from 4ms to 20ms and then drop back to 4ms once the battle ends (similar to FPS drops), but only on certain maps. I suspect it might be related to network issues from my ISP.
