I have tested all AAA games on my new PC, but they all fail badly. Metro Exodus is no different—I used vsync and it suffered severe frame drops and input lag. Switching to high still didn’t help. Disabling vsync only made things worse, with continued frame drops and a stuttering experience. The game runs smoothly at 100 FPS but crashes when it drops below 70. Is this an issue with my hardware or just the game?

You could ask about the specific model or type of computer you're using.

Apologies, I own an Intel Core i5 8400 with 16 GB RAM, a Vega 56 graphics card, and run the game on a vital SSD with a 75 Hz monitor.

Did you verify your system temperatures, CPU and GPU activity?

CPU temperature is at 49 degrees, GPU around 70. CPU performance is between 60 to 80%, GPU usage is 90 to 99%.

Regarding RAM, are you seeing all 16 gigabytes? Is the system operating at its maximum capacity?

It's operating at 16GB with a frequency of 2100MHz. That's the correct setting.

Considering it might be your monitor is the idea. Could that be the reason?

It's quite slow for DDR4 RAM.

I understand I went for the lowest price on RAM, but it was a very poor choice and I'm really sorry about it.
