Hi, I'm setting up a PC for the first time. The motherboard matches your CPU and has been updated with BIOS. Since you don’t have an older CPU to update it, and your board doesn’t support USB BIOS flashback, there’s no straightforward way to do it without those tools. You might need to visit a professional service or consider using a different method like a live USB installation if available.

most b450 models include the latest BIOS by default if you didn’t get it before; just ask the seller or a local shop to install it for you.

I placed the order on Amazon, but I’m not sure if you can pick it up for an update there.

Open a computer (it’s unlikely to have the BIOS installed) and inquire if an update is available for you.

The box with the red label "ryzen 3000 ready" requires an update, whether it already has one or not.

Several conditions must be met for BIOS updates on that board. Ensure the technician performs the installation correctly, rather than merely applying the newest BIOS version.

The limitations stem from watching several videos, which led to an incorrect download from the gigabyte site. The update only included recent BIOS versions and failed to include older ones, causing the motherboard to become unusable.

When referring to the bios flashback feature, you won't require a processor and not every motherboard supports it.
