Hello, I’m curious about whether it's possible to duplicate my Steam games onto an external hard drive. My goal is to simply create a copy, not relocate the originals—I wish to have these games available on a separate drive without needing to reinstall them. Thank you!

To access your Steam games:

Within the Steam application:

Steam > Settings > Downloads > Steam Library Folders > Add Library Folder

To relocate a game that’s already installed:

Games Library > Right-click the game > Properties > Local Files > Move Install Folder

Would you like to possess a single or double version of the game?
A single copy equals movement. Easily accomplished.
Two copies... why?, yet easily achieved as well.

You can simply duplicate the SteamApps folder to another storage device.

Thank you for your assistance. And regarding the reason, I lack the energy to elaborate.

It appears a player has been discovered violating anti-cheat measures and is attempting to bypass a device restriction. Be warned: Steam could suspend your entire account and result in the forfeiture of all your game purchases if you don't comply. Honestly, I’m not going to detail the specifics.

Why? I wasn’t attempting to defraud anyone. I was completely unaware that a device restriction existed. To be clear, all I desire is an external storage unit that can be employed across multiple machines during testing. Is this request unreasonable?

PC games offer limited utility for "evaluation." Standardized performance measurement instruments are the appropriate approach.

Would it be a good idea to include the frame rate of commonly played games when describing gaming computers?
