Memory overclock on RTX 2080 Super
I own an RTX 2080s and tried turning it up in speed to see how much extra power I can get from it. I used MSI Afterburner and bumped my core clock by 125 MHz, but when I went to turn the memory overclocked to +1100, everything stayed working fine with MSI Kombuster running. I'm not sure if I should try pushing the memory even higher though.
So I think your 2080 Super probably has Samsung dies that are hitting +1350MHz tops, while my board is around +1280MHz. If you want to check Heaven or another test, watch out for those weird pixel glitches when you push it too far. Pull back the overclock just a bit. It all depends on how much headroom you have in your Vcore and on the core, so if you go too crazy, you might lose some performance even though you're still fast.
I'm pretty sure your 2080 Super has Samsung dies that are breaking at around +1350MHz, while my units handle up to +1280MHz better. If you run Heaven or another benchmark and start seeing artifacts, go back down a bit on the overclock. How much you can push depends on how high your core boost is and how much voltage headroom you have left.
Skip all those test scores and just pick up some real games. That way, you can get a much better sense of whether it runs smoothly or crashes often—especially if you already own Control.
