Checking for a possible upgrade to Ryzen 3700X or 3800X, I came across OLOy memory while browsing CPU and motherboard bundles on Newegg. My current RAM is Corsair DDR3-2133, which has been upgraded three times already. I’m not very familiar with the OLOy brand, so I’m seeking opinions from users who currently use their products. I’m not too concerned about speed or capacity, but the brand matters to me. Thanks for the insights!

Oloy memory is a China-based business now available in the USA. It isn’t among the most popular products. In certain online discussions, users have reported using it without major problems. https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threa...am.262512/ This shows that due to its limited popularity, there’s little documentation available. Questions about returns or performance are rare unless Chinese customers share their experiences. We might not have many clear answers unless more users from China who use it provide feedback. For now, it seems unlikely they’d be significantly worse than some SK Hynix models with similar speeds at a much lower cost.

Thanks for the details. Since nothing about it came up in the forums, I thought it might be an odd situation. I plan to work on the CPU and motherboard this month, then RAM next month. That should help improve reliability on my end.
