I initially had 16 GB of RAM, but some games didn’t load properly. To fix this, I upgraded to 32 GB and now the system reports 48 GB, yet only uses 16 GB. The game still lags and doesn’t load fully. You’ll need to adjust settings or configurations so it utilizes all available RAM. Let me know if you need guidance on that. Thanks!
In the operating system, removing the old stick is suggested; RAM modules are best installed in pairs or fours (except for certain outdated CPUs).
The issue seems to stem from a game that limits itself to 16GB of RAM, while performance problems likely originate elsewhere. Could you share the titles you're attempting to run and provide details about your computer's specs?
I often face issues when launching GTA V online and experience heavy lag during RP sessions. The problem tends to appear in Sea of Thieves but is less frequent there. I currently have these components installed: ASUS Strix B550-F Gaming, 16GB Corsair Vengenance RGB PRO DDR4 3600MHz, 32GB Corsair Vengenance RGB PRO DDR4 3600MHz (new), and Geforce RTX 3070Ti, AMD Ryzen 7 5800x. Hope this helps. @Crunchy Dragon
In Task Manager it consistently displays 16GB as used without exceeding it.
Task manager screenshot. It shows 16GB usage with 32GB available. The system is optimizing by using only 10GB right now.
