Recently my computer has been flickering blue and failing to power on from sleep. It appears the A-XMP 1 Profile on my MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX board is affecting the RAM stability. The RAM I'm using is F4-3600C19D-16GVRB, a G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2x8GB) set, and I have two units installed. Initially I thought the problem was BIOS-related, so I attempted an update via MSI's tool but it failed and the BIOS became corrupted. Then I returned the board for replacement, which came with a different unit. The new motherboard works without A-XMP enabled but causes issues when it's active, again triggering the blue screen. I reached out to G.Skill support who confirmed my RAM is "Intel-only" and suggested purchasing certified AMD memory for a higher price. Is there a real distinction between "Intel certified" and "AMD certified" memory, or is this just marketing? Why does PCPartPicker list my kit as compatible while G.Skill claims otherwise? Also, Newegg reviews indicate many users face similar problems, yet the listing doesn't reflect this. Anyone have advice on resolving this?

Based on what I understand, most modern systems don’t support that kind of AMD-only DDR2. You may need to reduce the memory speed slightly (XMP doesn’t always work).
Early and mid-range Ryzen models sometimes faced matching problems. Third-gen chips performed better. Some 3000-series parts struggle with DDR4-3600 speeds because the Infinity Fabric isn’t suited, but it seems you’ve been using this setup for a while. Did you have to boost the SOC voltage to reach that speed, or is your CPU running normally with XMP enabled?
The Infinity Cache would operate at 1800MHz, while DDR or Double DATA rates are double the speed of the actual memory. When paired together, they reach 3600MHz—two sticks at 1800MHz each, totaling 3600MHz (1800MHz per stick). The IMCs found in early Ryzen chips, as noted by @YoungBlade, likely can't support such high frequencies.
XMP is an Intel standard. Use JEDEC speeds or adjust memory manually to its rated rate.
