I’m looking for a memory type that works well with 3900x or 3950x chips on either an MSI Tomahawk or MORTAR motherboard. I’m more interested in compatibility than raw speed, though I want to ensure I’m choosing a reliable option these days.

I focused on durability and consistent performance when choosing memory. Back then, it wasn’t as advanced, but I was looking for a solution that would last a long time and work reliably.

They remain unchanged; memory cards are straightforward to produce, making them reliable. The main benefit of bigger companies is their support services, though I've noticed many don’t perform as well as smaller brands can.
