Hey, for your setup with a GTX 1080, Ryzen 5 3600x, 16GB RAM, and 750M CPU, you’ll want to upgrade your motherboard to something that supports higher performance. Look for a board with at least 8GB of RAM and PCIe 4.0 or better for the GPU. Starting from the budget side, consider models like the ASUS ROG Strix Z690 AORUS PRO or MSI MEG 16, which offer solid upgrades without breaking the bank. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are usually included, so no extra cost there.

What dimensions are suitable? ATX, Mini-ITX, E-ATX? For a budget-friendly option, consider B450 and X470 chipsets. Keep in mind you may need to update the BIOS—though you won’t be able to use your 3600X for that.

ATX. There is a deal in a store for Asus ROG STRIX B450-E, but it shows that it only handles 3000mhz ram with OC. I think I can add extra money for X570, but is it worth it?

X570 doesn't offer much value without PCIe 4.0 support. Personally, I think that's a big deal. If the price on the B450-E is lower than most other boards available, go for it. Otherwise, you might want to pick one of these options: ASRock X470 TAICHI (may lack BIOS updates by default) or MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC (can be updated without a CPU installed).

It looks like this board is solid but lacks Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The alternatives I suggested do include those features.

These MSI x570 boards come with extremely poor VRM cooling fins. Avoid purchasing them.

B450-E seems ideal at the moment, yet I'm concerned about updating BIOS because my CPU isn't up to date. With the ASRock A320M-DGS MB, upgrading to an X570 might be a worthwhile investment.
