I purchased an EVGA RTX 3080 Ti XCE 3 from their site and it boots up to Windows, works briefly before showing visual tearing and then shutting down. The mouse and keyboard function normally while the PC remains powered on. Initially, I connected a 750-watt EVGA PSU, upgraded to an 850-watt one, but the issue persists. After switching from an MSI GTX 3060, I removed its drivers and installed the 3080 Ti drivers; it still fails. I went into BIOS and forced it to recognize my slot in Gen 3 mode instead of auto (the Reddit suggestion might help). The problem continues even when I don’t daisy chain the 8-pin connector. I’m certain the rest of my system, including the PC case and power supply, is functioning correctly—my 3060 works fine when plugged back in. Here are my current specs: Monitor: some 60Hz ViewSonic 1080p (just for testing), New GPU: EVGA RTX 3080 Ti (2x8-pin), Old GPU: MSI GTX 3060, CPU: Intel i5 11400F, RAM: 4x8GB, ASUS Vengeance RGB clocked at 3200MHz, Motherboard: ASRock Z590 C/A, PSU: EVGA 850W GA Supermova. Updated May 13, 2022 by Mikelange. Note: I have an X3 card, not a FTW3.

Yes, I've explored both versions of the bios.

You obtained the card from a specific source. It appears to be an authentic 3080Ti, though only certain versions are produced.

The XC3 differs from the FTW3 in that it features two 8-pin power connectors, whereas the FTW3 requires three 8-pin power connectors. I noticed you shared both versions at once—this are actually separate models. I only saw the latter version.

I made adjustments to correct it, though I kept the bottom unchanged as requested. Sorry for any confusion earlier! For the actual changes, let me know.

If your 3060 functions correctly, the problem might be connected to the 3080Ti. Have you checked for updates to the vBios on the 3080Ti? If you've done so and the issues persist, consider reaching out to evga to initiate a return merchandise authorization.

I wasn't familiar with Vbios either; how do you get it? Thanks for explaining things in simple terms—don’t worry, I’m still learning about PC stuff!
