Maybe you had a problem with your motherboard.
I’m reaching out during a tough spot. Essentially, after attempting to refresh my chipset drivers twice, my machine either won’t launch Windows or freezes into a blue screen shortly after entering the login prompt. Here’s what happened: I installed a driver from Armory Crate, assuming it was brand new, but it caused persistent issues with my second SSD. Sometimes the drive would appear in Windows but never boot, while other times it worked perfectly. I suspected the PCIe lanes on the secondary SSD might be misrouted through the chipset. After updating the driver, the computer would restart but then get stuck with a black screen and no video output. I cleared CMOS, flashed BIOS, and even tried booting in safe mode, but the problem persisted. Windows recovery didn’t help, and the startup repair tool couldn’t resolve it. Now I’m unsure what to do next—especially since I want to play games. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
If you can interrupt windows boot 3 times in a row while it tries to boot, it will bring you to the recovery options. In that menu, you can find the option to boot to secure boot. From there, you can uninstall programs like armory crate and see if it improves stability. Armory crate is junk, if you can grab the drivers directly from Asus' site, do that instead.
