I’m looking at an ASUS ROG G531GT with an i7 9750h. The CPU’s idle clock stays high, drops under load, and overheats easily. You tried a small voltage reduction but it still throttles and temps remain high. Since you’re not overclocked and haven’t changed the thermal paste, consider checking the cooling setup—ensure the fan spins freely and the heatsink fits well. Also, verify that the CPU cooler is clean and properly seated. If possible, try a slightly higher voltage during light use to see if it stabilizes idle performance.
