Hi there, I've been facing issues with RDR2 since setting up my PC. It seems my graphics card (Gigabyte RTX 3070 Ti) keeps overloading the 3D even when I lower in-game graphics and disable ray tracing. I've tried several fixes—checking drivers, updating BIOS, running the game as admin, forcing graphics settings, and adjusting system preferences. The monitor also displayed a blue screen occasionally, though I couldn't capture the exact code because it reloaded too quickly. My hardware specs look solid: 3070 Ti, Ryzen 7 5700X, 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4 at 3600MHz, Samsung 980 TB SSD, and a Seagate 2TB HDD. I've benchmarked everything and the components are performing well, with good thermal performance. If anyone else has encountered this problem or knows a solution, it would be really helpful. Also, I'm using Windows 11 now—does that affect the issue?

It seems the problem isn't related to the FPS rising from adjusting settings.

RDR2 demands a lot from the CPU as well. It seems your problem isn’t the graphics card but possibly the processor or memory. I ran more than 100 hours on a 5800X and RTX3070 without any issues. Corsair RAMs are known for not being fully compatible with AM4. Also, RDR2 is definitely not a solitaire game—it will handle whatever you input.

Unless you couldn't play it smoothly, there looks like no major problem. RDR2 handles tough challenges well; if you skip settings but leave the FPS limit off, it should run faster and still push the card to its limits. Even at the lowest settings, most GPU/CPU setups shouldn’t hit the frame cap that Rockstar implemented.

The problem is that limiting FPS reduces performance.

Set the frame rate to match your monitor’s refresh limit, adjust the values gradually until it stops reaching the cap, then slightly lower the settings again for optimal performance.

I can mention that my CPU and RAM aren't heavily utilized while playing the game. They're not as busy as the GPU, which seems to handle the main workload. It looks like the system should be fine even if they're not at their peak usage.

I'm not sure why it's only using my GPU, even though everything else works okay and my system meets the requirements for Red Dead Redemption. It's really confusing.

That means game is GPU limited. There is nothing to be confused here. As everyone here said, RDR2 very demanding game to run.
