is the 1.26v cache voltage a risky level? i adjusted it right away after installing the xtu, thinking the cache voltage equals core voltage. later i set the cache ratio to x50 and applied changes. after running the fpu for some time, the system shut down. was the voltage too high or low? i changed the offsets to -0.100v and -0.105v, wondering if that’s a high or low setting. usually cache voltage shouldn’t need changing during overclocking—it’s just a mistake i made. i’m really hoping you can clarify this. my 10900k processor with 1.26v cache voltage—could it cause damage?
The shutdown happened very fast, so I didn’t notice the temperature. I’m curious if the cache voltage is high—could it be 1.26V? My cooler is D15S, and after uninstalling the XTU I used BIOS to overclock. It’s working well now, running FPU smoothly for about 15 minutes without any problems.
For continuous 24/7 operation, it's best to keep the voltage at a safe level. A 10900k Gigabyte Z490 Pro Ax should be set to around 5V for maximum safety.
There might still be a way to capture it somewhere. The computer can store data much quicker than human perception allows. Such speed would demand an enormous heat increase—comparable to a no-paste mount or similar. 95c runs quite hot. Adjusting throttle settings for many components, often above throttle for older models and close to throttle temp for others. This suggests a possible overheating problem with the temperature setting. The heat is significantly higher than what a typical CPU should experience on a large air cooler you have. It seems the temperature isn't the issue. I've increased it to 100°C and ran FPU without problems. Maybe the cache ratio and voltage settings are off. I set cache ratio high but voltage too low. Not sure, so I'm asking here for advice.
