Hello everyone, I recently purchased AirPods Max and everything is working well with my iPhone, iPad, MacBook, and iMac. However, on my iMac, a issue arises when switching users. The second user still retains admin access but must press the Digital Crown and button on the headphones to reset them before adding them via Bluetooth again. Any suggestions would be appreciated? I configured my other devices so they don’t auto-connect, which prevents disconnections during user switches. My goal is to allow me to use the AirPods Max while logged in and for my wife to use them too when she logs in without needing a reset.

AirPods are designed for individual use, not shared between devices. This means you can't easily switch them without your wife connecting them via a cable.

If you own an Apple ID, you can attempt to link the AirPods Max to your iPhone. You'll receive a notification indicating they aren't registered to you. Accept that and configure them as usual; I haven't successfully tested it yet, but this could help resolve the problem if her Apple ID is linked to your Mac account.

I've noticed similar reactions before. The smooth switching between AirPod's Max or general AirPods is due to using your Apple ID, which identifies each device. If the ID changes, it essentially treats a new user. It could be anyone depending on your AirPods Max.
