I've been spending a lot of time on TF2 recently and to be honest, I'm not particularly skilled. I tend to fall just below average sometimes. But when I jump into a match, I always meet players with around 3000 hours who are dominating the game. (Do you feel the same about this situation...) So I was wondering if the game has any kind of matchmaking system that would group all newcomers together and separate the experienced players? That sounds like a smart approach to me! Thanks!
Search for fresh player servers via the server button. Boost your odds by switching to spectator mode, observing the leaderboard, and quickly assessing which team leads in points. Focus on the top performers and compare their scores to identify potential allies.
Developers have discussed adding matchmaking extensively lately, making the topic seem repetitive. They even noted in a recent blog that the latest Halloween update is community-driven, allowing developers to concentrate on this feature. One might think Valve could simply adapt from CS:GO, but it clearly takes them an unrealistic amount of time.
A few young steel level players enjoy Valve games to get a sense of better status.
Tf2 currently lacks any formal matchmaking system, though updates are expected soon. If you prefer casual play without pros, try the lobbies on Tf2Center or join an UGC Iron team.
Struggling with older titles, yes? The first rule is to stay calm and observe how others play. That’s how I’ve improved in most games.
