Hi!
I tried playing Fortnite on my new setup and it was a really bad experience.
I'm already considering removing the game after just one match, since I didn't even finish it.
The stuttering is extreme, with frequent FPS drops, especially when adjusting the camera angle (mouse movement side to side).
This makes the game essentially unplayable for me.
Changing graphics settings didn’t help much, but using DirectX 12 made things worse and even caused stuttering in the lobby, not just during gameplay.
DirectX 11 seems a bit better, and setting it to Performance Mode gives the least stuttering.
Has anyone found a solution to stop the stuttering?
When I had a GTX 1060 6 GB in this rig, the game didn’t stutter as much.
I’ve already made some adjustments because I’m not a beginner with computers, but this game is quite challenging...
The BIOS is tuned for CPU and gaming, it’s fully updated, and power-saving features are off.
Windows 10 is current, NVIDIA driver is up to date, the latest chipset driver was installed from the motherboard site, and I’m using Windows 10 Ultra Performance Mode with NVIDIA Prefer Maximum Performance.
Game Mode is enabled, hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling is active, and temperatures during gaming are within normal ranges.
CPU average temperature: 40-50°C
GPU average temperature: 45-55°C
System specs:
Intel i9 10850K 5 GHz
MSI Z490-A PRO
32 GB DDR4 3600 MHz CL16
Asus GeForce RTX 3060 Ti TUF Gaming - OC Edition (8 GB)
Asus ROG Strix 750W
Acer 23.6" KG241QS, 165Hz (OC) Full HD

I observed that restricting fps slightly improves performance, but the game behaves differently when set to unlimited. Most other options remain at low or disabled levels.
