You're experiencing significant lag specifically during close combat scenarios. The screen freezes briefly when you fire a shot, and your FPS drops sharply afterward. Running at low settings doesn't seem to resolve the issue. It might help upgrading your RAM to 8GB, as your current configuration (x5460 @3.8GHz GTX 960 with 6GB) could be limiting performance.

Execute Task Manager during gameplay to track memory consumption, though this may not always work. It could also indicate an ISP issue. Consider running a speed test to verify your connection quality.

Possible slowdown caused by the CPU (uncertain).

It's a socket 771, and it seems like the processor is the main issue. This chip is nearly ten years old, which explains why it might struggle with the game.

It isn't a performance problem at all—actually it runs much better than the Core2Quad alternatives. That's why I made the switch since the Q9400 wasn't causing any bottlenecks. You can see the CPU and GPU activity during gameplay.

Maybe it's possible now; I assumed the game needed under 6GB, but I guess I was wrong. Time to install another 2GB drive.
