Your setup matches the current situation described. It’s possible the recent BIOS update caused issues. Consider reverting to your previous BIOS version if you believe it was stable before.

Is it secure to revert to a previous BIOS version?
I wouldn't consider downgrading the BIOS. It's better to progress.
reset windows
It might have been possible to reinstall the operating system in offline mode rather than performing a reset. Regarding the OS, could you clarify which one you're using?
Attempt to execute DDU to eliminate all GPU drivers (Intel, AMD, Nvidia) during Safe Mode, then manually reinstall with the most recent GPU driver from Nvidia's support page,
accessible via an elevated command prompt.

I have changed my BIOS following the addition of the z790 feature in the latest release.
Version 1666
11.08 MB
2024/09/30
"1. Updated with Intel microcode 0x12B to handle higher voltage demands during idle or light tasks, helping to reduce Vmin Shift instability.
2. The ability to turn off C1E in the BIOS has been removed to keep it active, which lessens processor strain and supports stability as advised by Intel."
Version 1663
11.08 MB
2024/08/14
"1. The latest BIOS adds Intel microcode 0x129 to improve stability for Intel Core 13th and 14th Gen chips.
2. The default settings are now set to Intel Default Settings, which now cover non-K processors (previously only K series were supported).
Updating this BIOS will also update the related Intel ME to version 16.1.30.2307v4. After updating, the ME version stays current even if you revert to an older BIOS later."

Did you review the thread and the link the OP shared before replying? You're comparing a Z790 desktop chipset with an HM370 mobile platform chipset, noting that Intel's actions for their 13th/14th gen are necessary to fix issues in their ship.
