Hey everyone, most of the games I play freeze to 60 frames per second even when V-Sync is off and the frame rate limit is set high. My ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 15 G533ZW-LN086W has an ASUS RTX 3070 Ti GPU, Intel i9-12900H, 32GB RAM, Windows 11 Home 64-bit (version 21H2). I’ve checked forums and videos many times but haven’t found a fix. My friend with the same laptop didn’t have any issues either. He played games smoothly at 100–300 FPS or higher, depending on the title. I’ve tried everything: adjusted V-Sync and frame rate limits in settings, changed display refresh rate to 240Hz, checked in-game options, turned off the Xbox game bar, and optimized games via GeForce. All drivers and Windows are current.

So some games are fine then? If so what games are giving you the issue?

Fortnite, Unturned, CSGO had its challenges too. Tarkov works fine for me now. Minecraft and Fortnite feel smoother lately. When I open Fortnite, I notice my mouse lag and the jump from 240 to 60 FPS is noticeable. It could be a frame rate reduction when playing with FPS limits.

Hello, I came across this thread due to a similar issue. I own the same laptop and have the same problems—could anyone share a solution?
