i experience this in games like gt , rdr2 , wd2 .. i have checked the benchmarks while gaming , the think i noticed is that my frame time spikes every 10 to 15 seconds . i have also noticed a drop in cpu and gpu usage when the stutters happen .. also 100 disk usage is seen . this is driving me nuts .. does anyone know what this maybe ? intel i3 9100f gtx 1650 super 8gb single channel ram 1 tb HDD does adding more ram help ? or will an ssd ?

Typically RAM comes in 8GB units, but 2022 demands more. 32GB offers a solid balance. 16GB might fall short in some cases, and going beyond 32 is usually unnecessary unless you're working professionally. I've noticed Far Cry 5 runs with 17GB, which was released in 2016, while MSFS can hit 22GB.

I fully support @Action_Johnson, though I’m uncertain about the other titles you mentioned. Still, I play RDR2 quite often. It requires 8.5GB to 12.5GB on my PC, and the 8GB I have (after Windows takes its share) isn’t sufficient.

I just put in a new M.2 SSD, boosted my RAM to 16 GB, and did a clean install of Windows on the SSD. I’m not sure exactly what worked, but I’m glad it’s fixed. : )
