Hello, I'm just starting out with overclocking and have some concerns about RAM clock speed and boosting. When I tried to set XMP in BIOS, it said "No XMP Support." I found out it might be because OC Mode was active, which lets me manually adjust the CPU but not at the same time as XMP. The suggested fix was to use manual XMP/RAM overclocking instead.

I'm wondering if doing this manually is worth it, since some people warn that it puts a lot of stress on the IMC when you try to boost both CPU and RAM together? If it's safe and manageable, maybe someone can share some initial voltage settings or general tips for beginners.

Specs:
i5 6600K (OC'd to 4.4 GHz)
MSI Z170A PC Mate
8GB DDR4 2133MHz Corsair (CMV8GX4M1A2133C15)
Gigabyte GTX 970

When adjusting DRAM Frequency in BIOS OC Settings, there are many presets available for various speeds. It's understandable to be cautious about choosing a specific frequency like 2400, as it could affect stability.
