Manual XMP / RAM overclock
Manual XMP / RAM overclock
Hello, I'm just starting out with overclocking and have some concerns about RAM clock speed and boosting. When I tried to set XMP in BIOS, it said "No XMP Support." I found out it might be because OC Mode was active, which lets me manually adjust the CPU but not at the same time as XMP. The suggested fix was to use manual XMP/RAM overclocking instead.
I'm wondering if doing this manually is worth it, since some people warn that it puts a lot of stress on the IMC when you try to boost both CPU and RAM together? If it's safe and manageable, maybe someone can share some initial voltage settings or general tips for beginners.
