It seems the system is overheating, which is probably causing the performance issues. After running several Dota 2 sessions, the frame rate drops significantly, making it frustrating.

I was always aware that Manjaro requires a minimum i5 for smooth performance. Consider using Pop!_OS if you want better game support on lower specs.

What actually happened? I initially tried Pop-OS and it worked just fine, but now I feel hesitant about changing too much. Is there a gaming mode that turns off background processes? Pop-OS likely has one if it doesn’t, then it’s probably more optimized. I didn’t mention that I use GNOME.

Unfortunately not quite, but during gaming everything else is delayed until you focus on them—just like in the tests.
