No dedicated software exists for your old PC to take control via a newer one. Options like TeamViewer offer remote access but only through network connections, requiring the target PC to be running at the time. Restarting the other machine isn't possible if changes need a restart. It's safer to create distinct user accounts so only authorized users can install or modify settings.

Thanks for your feedback! It wasn't as challenging as I thought.

The simplest option is Google Chrome's Remote Desktop. It’s free and straightforward to install. Get the installer on both devices, launch them, enter the name and PIN, and you’re ready. You can also manage your phone’s desktop using the Chrome app, letting you control it remotely. Essentially, you’re streaming your friend’s screen to yours, with the ability to interact via clicks and typing. A more advanced alternative is VNC, which costs money but offers greater customization. The main advantage of VNC is finer control over settings. Stream quality is important too. You can easily copy files between computers using Ctrl + C + V, a feature Chrome doesn’t support. VNC also works with mobile devices, though setting it up might be a bit more complex. Port forwarding may be needed for VNC depending on your configuration. With Chrome, the process is very simple—no port adjustments required. Choose what fits your needs best.

Additionally, if he's interested in games, there are many Garry's Mod mods available; there are plenty of them, and kids his age often have microphones playing around, so he'll feel right at home.

I manage my grandma's PC using TeamViewer. She usually knows how to avoid messing things up, though sometimes a software update changes things—like when she switched to a new time zone. It’s simpler than calling tech support over the phone.

Get this free and enjoy a better night’s sleep: http://www.horizondatasys.com/en/product...8#Features This product has withstood a 4-year-old’s play, proving its durability—unlike the keyboard that fell apart after a messy juice and apple sauce mix.

Set up a user account with group policy permissions using Webroot. Implement an end-user lockout feature to block disabling actions. Generate the image immediately; if problems arise, revert changes.
