You clicked the WAMP server in the tray and chose Go Online, correct? Also, you need to send 80 to your internal IP address.

The Pi can manage very large sites without needing too many SQL queries. I've been running a site from my home using a Pi for some time. First, I set up FreeDNS (search it online). Second, keep your desktop isolated from the internet—use a less critical machine or a small Linux computer like a Raspberry Pi. Hosting on your main desktop puts your files at risk from zero-day threats, especially if all ports are exposed. Third, I highly suggest using an online host.
