Hello, I'm a WAMP user who's struggling to host a website. After checking many guides online, I've tried following instructions but nothing seems to work. I'm using No-IP as my DNS service. Could someone assist me in getting WAMP online and hosting my site? Please let me know if you need help!

You're likely facing an issue with your router's port configuration on a home DSL connection. It probably won't allow port 80, which is commonly used for web browsing.

You can't send it through 443... Many ISPs filter it; try non-standard ports such as 5231 and 5232 to verify the connection and confirm it's reaching the correct network device. Also, ensure there isn't a firewall on the LAN PC.

Is there a firewall installed on that computer? Also, since it uses WAMP, you might want to make Apache a service and connect it to a specific port.

Why not deploy a LAMP server inside a VM? It offers better security and simpler operation. I've only tried XAMPP once or twice, and it looks like running it on your desktop's host OS is risky. If you're planning to host a small site (not WordPress or Drupal), consider using a Raspberry Pi. It's quiet, secure, and energy-efficient.
