Thank you for your patience and effort in translating my issues. I’ll gather as much information as possible. I attempted to upgrade my system, using the latest components: Gigabyte B650 GAMING X AX ATX AM5 AMD Ryzen 5 7500F 3.7 GHz 6-core processor, Deepcool GAMMAXX 300 R 40 CFM cooler, Kingston FURY 32 GB DDR5-5600 CL40 RAM, and a GeForce GTX 1060 6GB video card (with one fan). I kept the PSU as an Aerocool KCAS 650W 80+ Bronze unit, which is quite old. I also installed two SSDs, but unplugged one during troubleshooting.

The motherboard and CPU appear compatible without any BIOS updates. When powering on, the fans activate, but three front fans stop briefly before resuming. The CPU cooler’s light flickers, and the RAM’s RGB turns on last. After a brief moment, the CPU LED appears, then turns off; the DRAM light stays illuminated. I couldn’t shut down the PC without physically disconnecting the PSU.

After reconnecting everything, all fans turned back on immediately, though the CPU cooler’s light still blinked. The LED pattern changed: CPU status toggled, then the DRAM lights up until the RAM RGB activated. Once that happened, the GPU powered on and stayed active. The GPU fan spun continuously. I was able to power off the PC using the front button now. The monitor didn’t respond in either case.

I tried installing RAM or CPU on another machine, but couldn’t proceed. The issue persists. After unplugging and plugging back in, fans started right away, but the cooler’s light continued to flicker. The LED would cycle through CPU status, then the DRAM lights up until the RAM RGB turned on. Eventually, the GPU came online and remained active.

I noticed the motherboard has multiple 8+4 pin power connectors for the CPU, yet my PSU only had a single 8-pin port. Although this seems sufficient for stock builds, I’m unsure if it’s the cause. The motherboard and CPU are compatible without needing a BIOS update (per Gigabyte), but no RAM listings show compatibility with this setup.

A repair shop suggested I might have bent the motherboard pins. They mentioned the CPU cooler required significant force to mount on AM5 sockets, which I thought could be the problem. However, I’m not sure if that’s accurate.

I’m still unsure about the root cause. If I were to try booting the system with just a monitor and no other devices connected, would help. Clearing CMOS might resolve the DRAM LED issue temporarily.

What worries me is the PSU only having one 8-pin port despite having eight connectors. It seems sufficient for my current rig. The motherboard and CPU compatibility checks passed without updates. I don’t want to risk further damage by changing components.

Please let me know what you find when you test these steps. Thank you again for your help!

Swapped in the dram stick and CPU again—everything looks good. Ordered a 700W power supply, should arrive tomorrow. Will update once it’s up and running. If not, I’m out of options, so the repair shop is my last resort.

The CPU failed, the DRAM didn’t match the motherboard, and the GPU got damaged while I was working on fixing the computer... Ugh
