Hello, I began playing Control and noticed that some shadows didn't appear correctly. Do you think the game should look like this? The shadows seem to blend poorly. You can see this in the top-right corner. I've adjusted the settings, turned on ray tracing and DLSS, but they still don't improve things. I'm using an LG CX OLED monitor, and other monitors show similar issues. Could you confirm if this is typical for this game? It doesn't seem to have uniform shadows, just the ones on the wall.

Adjust the brightness or gamma settings on the panel or games. The gamma, contrast, or brightness might be too high or there could be other issues.

I'll attempt that once I'm back and update. Are these settings for the monitor or also in-game?

It's a bit depth issue. It's probably running 8-bit, which is going to show stepping in gradients. You need 10-12 bit for it to be perfectly smooth. This is mostly a factor of the resolution, refresh rate, and capabilities of your card. For example, at 4K 120Hz you need HDMI 2.1 to get 10 bit, because there's not enough bandwidth otherwise.

I'm looking at my monitor to see what resolution it's using. I don't have the exact settings saved.
